Mother Angela Marie Ricigliano hails from Buffalo, New York, where she received a B.S. in Elementary Education from the State University College of New York at Buffalo. Following graduation she moved to Amarillo where she worked for a year as a nurses’ aide on a pediatrics floor in a local hospital, while awaiting her first teaching position. During the three years that followed she taught sixth grade in a public school in Hereford. It was there that Mother Angela Marie answered her call to religious life. For the next thirty plus years she was blessed to work in Catholic Schools.
In 1996, Mother Angela Marie received a Masters’ Degree in Education from W.T.A.M.U. with a certification in Mid-Management. She participated in the establishment of two Catholic Schools in the State of Texas and spent five years as a Catholic school principal. A love for Montessori Education developed while serving for four years as a Montessori Director in a Catholic School in San Antonio.
This is Mother Angela Marie’s ninth year at St. Mary’s, where the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd brings great joy to her life. Mother’s favorite past times are singing, baking, and reading Christian fiction.
