Regina Detten

This is Mrs. Detten's 6th year teaching at St. Mary's Cathedral School. She received her B.S. in Communication Disorders from West Texas A&M University and finished her MACTE Montessori Early Childhood certification through Age of Montessori in 2021. She is also certified in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Level 1. 

Her love and passion for teaching was really solidified by her experience serving as a Totus Tuus Missionary for two summers in our Diocese. The love she has for the children in the Amarillo Diocese inspired her to start her career as a Catholic school teacher. 

Mrs. Detten has been married to her husband, Edward, for 1 lovely year. She enjoys spending time with him on the farm! While he farms, she enjoys caring for her rather large collection of house plants. 

Mrs. Detten attended St. Mary's as a young child and is thrilled to be back teaching at a school that she holds so close to her heart. She feels so blessed to pass on its traditions and our faith to the next generation of young minds.
