Amy Monroe has been teaching for 21 years, all at St. Mary’s Cathedral School. She has taught 1st grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, and P.E.
She received her B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies (elementary education) from West Texas A&M. She holds a Texas educator certificate through the SBEC.
She loves being with her family, especially having family movie nights. She is married to James and has 2 daughters, Anna and Emily who attend Holy Cross Catholic Academy, and 1 son, Noah. She also has 3 cats who are dying to visit the principal of SMCS but Mrs. O’Rear won’t let them in her house!!!
Daily religion classes, small student-teacher ratios, and a loving and safe community are just some of the many reasons why she loves teaching at SMCS.
