Experience in working with children in special education is preferred.
The Special Education Teacher will oversee the education and training of students with physical, emotional, mental, and learning disabilities.
Specific duties include:
● Works with Principal to ensure all students with exceptional needs (special education, dyslexia, Title I) are receiving appropriate support.
● Collaborate with general education teachers, to adapt lessons to meet the needs of the students.
● Develop individual learning plans for each student.
● Implement plans, assess students’ performance, and track their progress.
● Update plans throughout the school year to reflect students’ progress.
● Teach students as a class, small group, and one/on/one through pull out and push in.
● Research, adopt or develop a systematic program to be used to meet the needs of students. ● Coach/ mentor other professionals who work with students with disabilities.
● Provide teachers with strategies, recommendations for accommodations, and all support necessary so they are able to meet the needs of allstudents in their classroom.
● Collaborate with support staff (counselors, therapists, interventionists, tutors) to create holistic intervention plans.
● Partner with parents through communication and conferencing to keep them informed on the progress of their child.
● Discuss students’ progress with parents, administrators, teachers, and counselors.
● Prepare students to transition to the next grade.

The music teacher plans, guides and evaluates the learning process of students in music instruction, directs the student choir, oversees the Advent Program for elementary and Montessori, and prepares/performs music for school liturgies. This position reports to the Principal and has decision-making responsibilities within the framework of school policies, philosophy, organization and curriculum.

Minimum requirements HS diploma or GED preferred. No more than 29 hours per week and flexibility in scheduling.
Experience working in youth camps, daycare, schools, or similar experience is beneficial.

The physical education teacher works to promote student health, athletic skill and safety. The position allows the educator to provide a creative, innovative curriculum that is stimulating and challenging for the students. Responsibilities include teaching a developmentally appropriate physical education program, developing lessons involving participation, creativity, problem-solving and healthy competition, being a self-starter who enjoys collaborating as a team player.
Certification in an appropriate/related field is preferred, as well as a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
