Dear Friends of St. Mary's Cathedral School,
We find ourselves in the midst of a very unique school year. Although it may have seemed that at times the odds were against us opening in August, we prayed, put our heads together, consulted with parents and medical experts and gave it all to God. As a Catholic school, our mission has not changed, and we are dedicated to serving our students by developing those who teach and learn in Christ with their hearts, souls, and minds.
The theme for this year is HOPE. Our scripture is "Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who is promised is faithful." (Hebrews 10:23) The Spring was incredibly challenging as we moved into "crisis teaching," as a result of schools being forced into closure. Our staff did an exceptional job to provide top quality learning to students, and as we planned for the fall, we were hopeful and determined to do better and provide the best experience for all our SMCS families. Our faculty and staff has worked tirelessly to make sure our facility is performing safely and efficiently with all the best practices--from additional COVID protocols, to academic rigor, enrichment, and spiritual development.
Due to the uncertainty of enrollment and cancelled and postponed fundraising events, our financial need is greater than ever. Our Annual Appeal allows us to continue to provide what our students need to be successful and ensures we have the necessary resources, staff and facilities to maintain the excellent education we have provided for more than 100 years.
We ask that you prayerfully consider a gift to the Annual Appeal, knowing that you will make a significant impact on all our students. If you are not able to contribute monetarily this year, we would be grateful for your prayers, referrals or gift of time. Thank you for allowing us to continue the great work we do each day. We pray there is an end to the pandemic very soon and that all will be transformed, renewed and stronger than ever.
